Inspiration
Savvy Flower’s draws inspiration from components of Dutch17th and18th century flower paintings, english garden style and bohemian style. English Garden style is described as, “Loosely structured oval or round arrangements of a variety of garden flowers. No particular style of bloom is used. No particular amount is selected. This style is based on the availability of flowers grown in a home’s garden and therefore represent a less defined but very “full” look.”
In the past seasons I have picked peonies, hydrangea, queen anne’s lace, wisteria, lilacs, daffodils, dogwood, cherry blossom, and even crab apples from my garden to use in weddings and arrangements. I love using what’s at my disposal even if it’s one beautiful and unique bloom. Working with garden flowers plucked from the garden adds a special touch to bridal bouquets when the season allows. I love working in this industry because everyday I am reminded of the beauty and bright colors that can be grown from this earth.
